Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH, otherwise referred to as Continental, is a German company who started manufacturing solid automobile and bicycle tires in 1871.

Today, Continental has grown into the world's fourth-largest tire manufacturer, with a workforce of 180,000+ global employees and an annual revenue of €34.5 billion (2014). They currently manufacture lineup of 70 different race, mountain, cyclocross, and city/trekking bike tires, and their website advertises that almost one-third of every car in Europe is delivered with their automobile models.
