Cycling Through Shadow-Dappled Streets

an internet article tells me
my time is like jelly beans
I have not learned to give away
correctly

wind whispers through leaves

in this city, I move toward negations
[the places with no people]
down a path between
train-track and river

suburbs & circumferences
in our school textbooks we drew perfect circles
and from space, this cycle route is a doodle
disconnected
